Spring Green Smoothie Recipe

Go Vita Naturopath and low-sugar advocate Inka Ferkova, encourages her clients to start sipping on green smoothies when Spring arrives. "Now is the time to start increasing water or coconut water to help flush out toxins," Inka says.

Inka says that raw foods and salad vegetables help to detox the liver, as well as increasing fibre and antioxidants. "Smoothies are an easy way to include fruit and vegetables into your day."

Inka's Spring Green Smoothie Recipe

200ml coconut water

1 banana

1 cup of baby spinach leaves

Half an avocado

1 scoop plant-based vanilla protein powder

1 kiwi fruit (peeled or whole- optional)

1 tbsp chia seeds

Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender and serve immediately.
